Utility rebates are available from the following utility companies; Cape Light Compact, EVERSOURCE, National Grid and Unitil

Each application has requirements and incentives and if you qualify, you could receive a significant amount back. For example, all standard load/no load rotary screw air compressors could receive $75.00 per horsepower. Variable speed drive rotary compressors could receive $200.00 per horsepower. Air tanks are required and load/no load compressors require 4 gallons of storage per every 1 cfm, VFD rotary compressors require 2 gallons per 1 cfm. (Monitoring may be required for systems over 75 hp).

Variable Speed Drive (VFD) Air Compressors can be very efficient when sized correctly. VFD Air Compressors match the compressor output with the demand by varying the electric motor speed, this turndown reduces the amount of utility used by the electric motor.

We recommend installing the VFD where the demand would fall between 30-80% of full load. When the compressor runs light, moisture could build up in the airend, causing premature failure. When the compressor runs to heavy, your defeating the purpose of the VFD as each drive requires an additional 7-8% above the compressor to operate.
